Mission
Saint Benedict's Children Programme (Madodo) is an initiative that provides impoverished youth a strong faith based foundation which is centered on family, community, and education.

Madodo seeks to develop every child to become self-reliant and responsible members of their communities.
Historical Background
Saint Benedict's Children Center was initially sponsored by Saint Benedict's Parish in Ruraka and the Kolping Family. The center was started in 1993 by Father Klaus Braunreter OSB who was then the parish priest of Saint Benedict's Nairobi. The center was established to assist the underserved children of Mathare in Nairobi, Kenya. Today, Madodo is supported by various international groups both financially and through volunteer service.

With nearly 300,000 children living in the Mathare slum, there is a great need for programs such as Madodo.
